The Spokane County Interstate Fair is an official Washington State Fair held in September (for 10 days after Labor Day) on the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center.
Held for one week, while the Washington State Fair is held in Puyallup (not an official Washington State Fair), the fair is designed to show agriculture and local crafts with the neighboring state of Idaho included.
It is a fair that started in the 1886. It did have trouble operating in the 1930's but incorporated in 1941 as the Spokane County Fair. Another fair lapse happened between 1946-49 until a new lease was signed in 1950 at the current site on Broadway and Havana.
The fair can have an attendance of over 200,000 per year.
